He said the senator, who has persistently mounted pressure on him to join the APC since August last year, has vowed to destroy him and his family for supporting Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Asikpo in an interview with our reporter, maintained that the former Governor has called and threatened his wife and other family members, before warning him against ever setting his foot on Essien Udim land.

The Odudu One of Ikpaisong Annang, said he had formerly alerted the state commissioner of police since November last year, and wondered why no effort has been made to investigate and forestall an attack on him and his family.

It could be recalled that Akpabio in several fora has maintained that he will invade Akwa Ibom in a manner similar to the destruction of Warsaw in Poland by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

Akpabio’s tenure as governor between 2007 and 2015, it could be recalled, was fraught by widespread political assassinations, kidnap and armed banditary.
