– as Eleco warns against Imposition

All is now set for the election of new state executive officers of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Akwa Ibom on Thursday , 27 April 2019.
Chairman of the election credentials committee, Comr. Paulina Isaac while briefing some journalists on preparedness after screening of candidates at the workers solidarity centre in Atan Offot, Uyo said that the committee have concluded plans for the conduct of the election having screened and cleared about five and six persons to run for the office of the NLC Chairman and vice Chairman in Akwa Ibom, among other candidates who are vying for several offices.
Paulina Isaac who is the acting chairperson of the NLC in the state says the committee will not condone any form of imposition of candidates from any quarters , while assuring that necessary measures has been put in place to ensure rancur free, transparent and fair Election.
According to her, the tenure of the new exco will last for four years.
Therefore, workers have been urged to come out to vote and defend their votes.
Cmr Issac said the process of screening the cleared candidates has been transparent as no aspirant was disenfranchised or disqualified at all.
The election of the new exco will be part of the activities to mark the 8th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the NLC billed to hold at the prestigious Ibom Hall along IBB Way, Uyo by 10am on the theme, Nigerian Workers: Better Remuneration For Labour Efficiency and Productivity.
Accordindly, the state Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, His deputy, Mr. Moses Ekpo, the speaker, AKHA, Rt. Hon. Barr. Onofiok Luke, the leader of AKHA, Rt. Hon. Cmr Udo Kirian, The Head of Service, Mrs. Ekereobong Akpan, The commissioner Ministry of Labour and Manpower Development, E
