Gov. Emmanuel, PDP donate generator, bus, tents to catholic church

The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Deac. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel today on behalf of his family pledged to donate a mega Generating set to the Uyo diocese of the Catholic church during the new year thanksgiving service held at Cardinal Ekanem Seminary, Dominic Utuk Avenue, Uyo. The Governor on behalf of the people of Akwa Ibom state also made donations of a sound system and a bus for the diocesan choir on behalf of the government and the people of Akwa Ibom state, including the APC members. Gov Emmanuel while addressing the congregation sued for peace and requested the church to pray for the state.

The Bishop of the diocese, Dr John Aya thanked Gov Udom Emmanuel for his good works in the state. He commended the governor for the renovation of St. Luke Hospital, Anua. “You’ve done well, if you didn’t, I would’ve told you”, the bishop added.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) through the state publicity secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong also made a promise of N4 million to purchase a tent on behalf of the Peoples Democratic party. Others who also made donations at the thanksgiving service included Senator Godswill Akpabio who donated a tent and the state chairman of the APC who promised to donate on behalf of the APC the sum of N1 million.
